A clear vision
Our mission is to educate, motivate and inspire students and to prepare them to be confident, successful and responsible citizens of the world. We strive for excellence in all aspects of our work towards these goals.  

A focus on learning
The leadership and staff of PSI are committed to learning as the driving force each day in our school. That means not just in the classroom, but on the sports field, in the theatre and on field trips. This commitment includes our teachers whose own learning is catered for by a comprehensive programme of professional development.

An international curriculum
We have designed an established International Baccalaureate curriculum, from pre-kindergarten through to grade 12, which caters for the needs and diversity of our community.  We shall work with your children to achieve their best possible academic results and develop within them a wide range of other skills and abilities which will give them the confidence to cope with their current and future challenges.

Measuring student success at PSI
We measure our success at PSI by the extent to which we make our values of international-mindedness, academic challenge and success a reality for each student.

Over the past few years, the school leadership and Board has put into place a numbers of key success indicators to ensure that we continue to provide an outstanding educational opportunity for all our students.

The range of success indicators we currently use include:

  • Benchmarking external academic testing results with other international schools and national educational systems using International Schools Assessment (ISA) testing.
  • Accreditation reports from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), Council of International School (CIS) and North Eastern Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)
  • Lists of higher education colleges and universities across the world to which PSI students are awarded places.
  • Competition results and participation in a range of academic, cultural and sporting fields.
  • Regular feedback via opinion surveys and meetings with all stakeholders, including students, parents and staff.
