Board Member Profiles

The Board represents the interests of the parents as a collegial body taking collective decisions for the enhancement, protection and well-being of the School. As such, the Board has full authority and responsibility for all matters connected with the governance of the School. In fulfilling its governing function, the Board establishes such policies and bylaws as may be required for the proper and efficient operation of the School.

The Board delegates certain executive powers in the areas of administration, staff selection, and curriculum implementation to the Director to manage the School according to the Board's policies. As the Board's chief executive officer, the Director is responsible for the administration of the Board’s policies, the execution of its decisions, the efficient operation of the School, and for keeping the Board informed about School operations and problems.

MICHAEL KATULA, American, Chairman and member of the Finance & Legal Committee. Michael has one son in the school and was elected to the Board in 2007.
 GENNADY GAZIN Ukrainian Vice-Chair has 3 children at PSI. Gennady was elected to the Board in June 2007 and chairs the Policy Committee.
 JAY MULLOOLY American has 3 children at PSI. Jay was elected to the Board in June 2007 and chairs the Personnel Committee.
 KRISTIAN JENSEN Danish, 2 children at PSI. Kristian was elected to the Board in June 2007 and chairs the Building and Expansion Committee.
 NATALIE JARESKO Ukrainian, has a daughter at PSI. Natalie was elected to the Board in June 2007 and serves on the Finance & Legal Committee.
 PETER WHYTE British, has two daughters At PSI. Peter was elected to the Board in June 2008 and serves on the Building and Expansion Committee.
 CHRISTELLE CAUDRON French, has 2 children at PSI. Christelle was elected to the Board in June 2008, and serves on the Policy Committee and Personnel Committee.
 YURY SPEKTOROV Ukrainian, Treasurer, has 2 children at PSI. Yury was elected to the Board in June 2007, serves as Chair on the Finance & Legal Committee.
 MARTIN RAISER German, Board Secretary and member of Finance & Legal Committee. Martin was elected to the Board in 2008 and has 3 children in the school.
 LANDON TAYLOR, American. Landon was appointed to the board in November 2006 and serves on the Policy Committee. He has two children enrolled in the school and his wife Christine Taylor is the Primary Year Programme Co-ordinator and Special Needs Coordinator at PSI.

In addition, as per PSI by-laws, the board includes three ex-officio board members:

 STEVEN CALLAND-SCOBLE, British, as the Director of PSI has been appointed as a non-voting member of the board and serves on all board committees.
 METTE HOLMARK, Danish, as elected PTA Chair has been appointed as a non-voting member of the board and serves on the Personnel Committee. Mette has one son at PSI.
 WAYNE MOCKETT, British, as elected teachers’ representative has been appointed as a non-voting member of the board September 07.
